Young ICCA Elects New Co-chair

We are pleased to announce that Theominique D. Nottage has been elected as the next Young ICCA Co-chair.

“I'm ecstatic to have been elected as one of the Young ICCA Co-chairs. Young ICCA has demonstrated its commitment to the development of young international arbitration practitioners with its skills training workshops, mentoring programme and scholarship opportunities," said Theominique. "During my term as co-chair I hope to be a part of extending those same opportunities to young practitioners in the Caribbean, Latin America and Africa - regions where international arbitration is growing and there is a need for more skills training for young practitioners. I wish to thank each and every one of the Young ICCA members for their support and confidence in my ability to serve as one of their Co-Chairs. I look forward to a successful term.”

She will serve as Co-chair alongside Camilla Gambarini and Panos Chalkias, whose terms end in June 2020 and January 2021 respectively.

The two candidates up for election were Theominique and Nataliya Barysheva. We’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate both Theominique and Nataliya for being the top two candidates and to thank them for participating in this year’s elections.

Theominique will take office immediately, succeeding current co-chair Tolu Obamuroh. We’d like to thank Tolu for his contribution to Young ICCA over the past two years. We wish him well in all his future endeavours and we hope to continue working with him on other Young ICCA and ICCA Projects.

The remainder of 2019 promises to be a busy and productive time for Young ICCA. We encourage all of our members to keep a lookout for Skills Training Workshops in your regions and, if any of you are interested in the Young ICCA Mentoring Programme, keep an eye on the website for details about the next cycle of the Programme.
