ICCA Congresses

ICCA’s biennial Congress is the largest regular gathering of international dispute resolution specialists worldwide. Practitioners and academics from across the globe come together over a period of several days to present and discuss papers on different aspects of international dispute resolution. ICCA Congresses are known for stimulating development in the field of international arbitration, and cater to both newcomers and experts in the dispute resolution community.

Bidding to Host the Congress

ICCA Congresses have historically highlighted their host countries as safe seats for arbitration and stimulated the practice of international arbitration at the host venue. The bid to host the XXVIIth ICCA Congress was won by Club Español del Arbitraje (CEA) and the Congress will take place in Madrid. The bidding process for the XXVIIIth ICCA Congress was announced in October 2023 and is now underway. The successful bid will be selected at the 2024 ICCA Governing Board Meeting in Hong Kong. The bidding process for the XXIXth ICCA Congress will be announced in 2025.
