ICCA Congresses

ICCA’s biennial Congress is the largest regular gathering of international dispute resolution specialists worldwide. Practitioners and academics from across the globe come together over a period of several days to present and discuss papers on different aspects of international dispute resolution. ICCA Congresses are known for stimulating development in the field of international arbitration, and cater to both newcomers and experts in the dispute resolution community.

The XXVth ICCA Congress will take place in Edinburgh from Sunday 18 - Wednesday 21 September 2022. Registration will soon re-open: go to icca2020.scot to secure your place at the largest regular conference devoted to international arbitration.

Bidding to Host the Congress

ICCA Congresses have historically highlighted their host countries as safe seats for arbitration and stimulated the practice of international arbitration at the host venue. The bid to host the XXVIth ICCA Congress was won by the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) and the Congress will take place in Hong Kong. The bidding process for the XXVIIth ICCA Congress is currently underway. The successful bid will be selected at the 2021 ICCA Governing Board Meeting in Edinburgh. The bidding schedule for the XXVIIIth ICCA Congress will be announced in due course.
