Updated programme released for ICCA Edinburgh 2022

As preparations gear up for the next ICCA Congress in September 2022, we are pleased to release a Programme Snapshot confirming the full slate of speakers for ICCA Edinburgh. Inspired by the host country’s age of enlightenment in the 18th and early 19th centuries, the Congress will focus on the theme ‘Arbitration’s Age of Enlightenment?’ and is taking place on 18 – 21 September 2022.

ICCA President Lucy Reed is enthusiastic about the Congress Programme developed by Programme Committee Chairs Cavinder Bull, Loretta Malintoppi and Constantine Partasides. She says, “As we look forward to meeting friends and colleagues again in Edinburgh in September 2022, we are pleased to share with you our updated Congress programme – refreshed, (still) relevant and responsive to a post-pandemic world. Until September 2022!”

Louise Arbour, former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and former Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada, will give the keynote address. Lord Carloway, Lord President of the Court of Session and Lord Justice General of Scotland, will give the closing address. The programme features 16 panels and a total of 84 participants including moderators, speakers and commentators, representing a wide range of expertise, viewpoints and backgrounds.

After the disappointment of having to postpone the Congress in 2020, we now eagerly await the opportunity to welcome delegates from around the world in Edinburgh next year.
