ICCA Task Force on Standards of Practice in International Arbitration Releases Consultation Draft of its Guidelines for Public Comment

The ICCA Task Force on Standards of Practice in International Arbitration is pleased to announce the release of the consultation draft of its Guidelines on Standards of Practice in International Arbitration for public comment. Rather than acting as mandatory rules, the Guidelines are intended to serve as guiding principles of civility in the field, and reflect the myriad blends of cultures and situations in which international arbitration is employed.

The Task Force is seeking feedback from the international arbitration community on the consultation draft in order to ensure that the Guidelines fully reflect best practices with regard to minimum civility standards, cooperation between participants, and respect for diversity and cultural differences in the arbitral process.

The Task Force invites members of the international arbitration community to submit comments on the consultation draft of the Guidelines on Standards of Practice in International Arbitration by Thursday 15 October 2020.
