ICCA 2020 Congress in Edinburgh Postponed

A message from ICCA President Gabrielle Kaufmann-Kohler

Dear ICCA Members and Congress Delegates,

The rapid spread of COVID-19 impacts our lives, as well as those of our families, friends and colleagues around the world.

ICCA and the Scottish Arbitration Centre, the ICCA 2020 Congress Host, have been monitoring the outbreak closely over these last weeks, especially as it affects travel and large gatherings. While we were heartened to see how many of you had maintained your registrations for the ICCA Congress, our priority must be protecting the health of all those attending. We have therefore reached the conclusion that the Congress cannot go ahead in Edinburgh in May 2020.

We are working with the Scottish Arbitration Centre to identify the best alternative dates for the rescheduled Congress in Edinburgh in 2020 or 2021 and will share those dates with you as soon as possible. As a registered delegate of the 2020 Congress, your registration will be automatically transferred to the rescheduled Congress. If you are not able to participate in the rescheduled Congress, you can transfer your registration to a friend or colleague free of charge or cancel and receive a refund in line with the revised cancellation policy. The revised policy will be sent to delegates when the dates for the rescheduled Congress are announced.

Finally, we would like to express our gratitude to everyone who has contributed to the ICCA Congress in Edinburgh so far. Your support and dedication is incredibly valuable, and we look forward to seeing all our efforts come to fruition. We are delighted that our Programme Co-Chairs and Committee have agreed to stay on and continue their work to make this ICCA’s best-ever Congress.

Please take care of yourselves and those close to you.

With warm regards,

Gabrielle Kaufmann-Kohler

ICCA President
