Mauritius 2016 Programme Committee Announced

The Programme Committee for ICCA’s 2016 Congress in Mauritius has now been formed, and will be led by Andrea Menaker, a Partner at White & Case in Washington DC. Each member of the Programme Committee brings a unique perspective to the group: Dr. Mohamed Abdel Raouf, one of ICCA’s Vice Presidents, serves as the Director of the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration; Ms. Funke Adekoya SAN, a newly-elected member of ICCA’s Governing Board, is a partner at the West African firm ?LEX; Dr. Yas Banifatemi is a Paris-based arbitration specialist and partner in Shearman & Sterling’s International Arbitration Group; Mr. Doug Jones, a leading international arbitrator, will provide continuity between Mauritius 2016 and the next ICCA Congress as a member of the Host Committee for the 2018 ICCA Congress in Sydney; Dr. Gaston Kenfack Douajni is an expert on OHADA law and based in Cameroon; Mr. Salim Moollan, a Barrister practicing in London and Mauritius, will provide a bridge to the Congress Organising Committee of which he serves as Chairman; and Mr. John Ohaga is the Managing Partner of Kenya-based firm TripleOKlaw Advocates. Over the next year, this team will consider the relationship between international arbitration and the development of the rule law -- the theme of the Congress -- and devise a programme sure to challenge and excite.
