Audley Sheppard KC takes over the ICCA Presidency

As the ICCA 2026 Madrid Congress came to a close on 15 April 2026, Dr. Stanimir Alexandrov handed over the presidency to Audley Sheppard KC, who will now serve a three-year term.

Audley has more than 35 years of experience as counsel and arbitrator in international arbitration. He was appointed to the ICCA Governing Board in 2020, served as an ICCA Vice-President from 2023 to 2025, was Co-Chair of the Programme Committee for the ICCA 2024 Hong Kong Congress and has been a member of the Publications Committee.

Audley commented: “I am excited to begin my term as ICCA President and look forward to working closely with the dispute resolution community to implement the mission of ICCA to promote the use, and improve the processes, of international arbitration and conciliation. I would like to thank the ICCA Governing Board for the trust and confidence they have placed in me.”

We also take this opportunity to thank Stanimir for his commitment to ICCA throughout his presidency. Stanimir will continue to serve on the ICCA Governing Board as a member and Honorary ICCA President.
