Announcement: ICCA-KIAC Conference in Kigali 5 June 2025

ICCA and the Kigali International Arbitration Centre (KIAC) are pleased to announce they will co-host a one-day conference in Kigali on 5 June 2025.

KIAC will also be hosting the annual ICCA Governing Board meeting in Kigali on 4 June 2025 and Young ICCA will be holding a skills training workshop for young practitioners on 6 June 2025.

ICCA President Stanimir Alexandrov said: “It is with great pleasure that we invite the international arbitration community to attend this joint ICCA-KIAC conference in 2025. ICCA is confident that it will be a great opportunity for practitioners to discuss recent trends and best practices, both within the African landscape and in the global arena."

KIAC Secretary General Victor Mugabe commented: “We are thrilled to welcome arbitration practitioners from across the world to the joint ICCA-KIAC Conference in June 2025 taking place in Rwanda, one of the most arbitration friendly jurisdictions in the world. We hope to have everyone on board to explore avenues for bettering international arbitration on the African continent and beyond.”

Programme Committee co-chairs for the ICCA-KIAC event will be ICCA Board members Meg Kinnear and John Ohaga, joined by Rwandan-based practitioner and former KIAC registrar Thierry Ngoga.
