Andrew Rogers AO KC (1933-2024)

It is with sadness that we reflect on the passing of ICCA Advisory Board Member, the Honorable Andrew Rogers AO KC, on 4 February 2024.

Mr. Rogers’ involvement with ICCA dates back to the nineties when he was elected to the then ICCA Council in 1996. He continued to serve as a Council Member until 2007 when he became an Advisory Member of the Council and thereafter as an Advisory Member on ICCA’s Governing Board.

Outside of ICCA, Mr. Rogers was an international legal consultant and arbitrator. He served on the New South Wales Supreme Court between 1979 and 1993, during which time he was appointed the first Chief Judge of the Commercial Division in 1987. Mr Rogers then went on to become the first Chancellor of Australia’s Southern Cross University during its foundation in 1994, a role in which he continued until 1997.

We offer our sincere condolences to Mr. Rogers’ family as we celebrate his life and remarkable career, and thank him for his contribution to ICCA over the years.
