Nael G. Bunni (1939–2025)

It is with sadness that ICCA notes the passing of Nael G. Bunni, a respected figure in international arbitration and a valued member of the ICCA community.

Mr. Bunni spoke at the ICCA Congress in Paris in 1998 and served on the ICCA Governing Board from 2000 to 2013. Thereafter, he continued to contribute to ICCA’s work as a member of the Advisory Board.

Mr. Bunni was a Chartered Engineer, Chartered Arbitrator, Conciliator and Mediator, and served as a Visiting Professor in Construction Law and Contract Administration at Trinity College Dublin. He was widely recognised for his expertise in international arbitration and was well known for his work hearing construction disputes in the Middle East and North Africa.

ICCA is grateful for Mr. Bunni’s many years of service and extends its sincere condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.
