Hon Paul Heath KC was called to the New Zealand Bar in 1978 and was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1998. In March 2002, after serving for five years as a consultant (two years) and member (three years) of the New Zealand Law Commission, Paul was appointed as a Judge of the High Court of New Zealand. Between 2003 and 2017, he sat as an ad hoc member of the Court of Appeal on numerous occasions, on both the Civil Appeal Division and Criminal Appeal Division. Paul was also a Commercial List Judge and a member of the Commercial Panel of the High Court when he retired from the Bench in April 2018. Paul is now a member of Bankside Chambers, Auckland and Singapore, and practises as an international and domestic arbitrator. He is a panel member for SIAC, HKIAC, ACICA, AIAC , P.R .I.M.E. Hilary Heilbron QC now focuses on international arbitration sitting as an international arbitrator in major cases all over the world both under the main arbitral institutions and ad hoc with some 130 appointments and bringing to bear her earlier wealth of experience of major commercial and arbitral disputes as counsel under many foreign laws, such as appearing in the UK Supreme Court in Dallah Real Estate Tourism Holding Co v Government of Pakistan. Dr. Gerold Herrmann was President of ICCA from 2002 until 2010. Until his retirement in 2001 he worked for 26 years for UNCITRAL (United Nations Commission on International Trade Law), the last ten years thereof as its Director. His major achievement was the elaboration and promulgation of the UNCITRAL Model Law and the concomitant assistance in establishing or internationalising arbitration centres all over the world. Dr. Herrmann is Honorary Professor of Vienna University, Honorary Vice President of the LCIA Court and former President of the LCIA Court. In 2001 INSOL International presented to him the Scroll of Honour and the International Insolvency Institute honoured him in 2006 with the Outstanding Contributions Award.

Anne K. Hoffmann is an internationally recognised arbitration practitioner with more than two decades of experience in international commercial and investment arbitration during which she acted in arbitrations seated around the globe and governed by a great variety of laws. She is dual qualified in both Germany and England & Wales and practiced at leading international law firms in London, Geneva and Dubai before focusing on her practice as an independent arbitrator. To date, Anne has acted as sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator and chair in commercial arbitrations, both institutional under all major rules (including ICC, LCIA, Swiss Rules, DIFC-LCIA, SIAC, HKIAC, SCC, VIAC, DIAC, CRCICA and DIS) as well as ad hoc, including UNCITRAL. She has also been appointed in investment arbitration proceedings, including under the ICSID Rules.
