Dr Can Eken is an assistant professor at Durham Law School, Durham University, teaching and researching international arbitration. Dr Eken is admitted in three jurisdictions, as a solicitor in England and Wales, and as an attorney in California, USA and Turkiye. A winner of the Postgraduate Research Output Award 2021, he has extensively researched and given lectures and training in many jurisdictions. Admitted as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIARB), he is on the panel of arbitrators at the Shanghai International Arbitration Centre and Thailand Arbitration Centre. As a legal director in the International Law Firm CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang LLP , with over 16 years of specialized experience in international commercial and construction arbitration in the Middle East, I am part of the Infrastructure, Construction, and Energy Disputes (ICED) at CMS.

In my legal practice, I provide expert advice to a diverse clientele that includes both local and international entities. My areas of specialization encompass civil, commercial, corporate, arbitration, and construction law.

My professional experience includes representing prominent local and international construction corporations in Oman and beyond, appearing on their behalf in arbitral tribunal proceedings. Furthermore, I have also served as an arbitrator in both ad hoc and institutional arbitration proceedings.

Dr. Xavier Favre-Bulle is a partner at Lenz & Staehelin in Geneva, where he heads the Arbitration group and the Sports law sector. He is also the President of the Arbitration Court of the Swiss Arbitration Centre. He has some 30 years of experience in dispute resolution and has been involved in more than 260 arbitrations. Among various positions in arbitration associations, Xavier is the Co-Chair of the IBA Arbitration Committee. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and the author of some 80 books and articles. He has lectured at several universities (Switzerland, France) on arbitration and contract law.

He serves as an Ad Hoc Judge at both the Permanent Court of Arbitration in Mauritius and the Arbitral Commercial Side of the Supreme Court of Egypt. He has served as the Regional Representative to United Nations in East Africa for the International Law Association and has been Regional Director and CEO of the Martin Heyman Group of Companies in Uganda. He was also Chief Estate and Rating Surveyor for the East African Community in Tanzania. HE Hon.
