Mr. John Beechey CBE, a past President of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, has served as chairman, party-appointed arbitrator, or sole arbitrator on more than 100 international arbitral tribunals in both “ad hoc” (including UNCITRAL) and institutional arbitrations under the Rules of all major arbitral institutions including, inter alia, the EDF, ICC, ICDR/AAA, ICSID, LCIA, PCA, SIAC and Stockholm Chamber. He is the current Chairman of the Board of the BVI International Arbitration Centre. In June 2016, he was appointed CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) for services to international arbitration.

Andrea K. Bjorklund is Associate Dean (Graduate Studies), as well as a Full Professor and the L. Yves Fortier Chair in International Arbitration and International Commercial Law, at McGill University Faculty of Law. She is an adviser to the American Law Institute’s project on restating the U.S. law of international commercial arbitration, as well as a member of the Advisory Board of the Investment Treaty Forum of the British Institute for International and Comparative Law. She is an active arbitrator and expert on both commercial and investment arbitration matters. Professor Bjorklund has a J.D. from Yale Law School, an M.A. in French Studies from New York University, and a B.A. (with High Honors) in History and French from the University of Nebraska.

Jonathan is a qualified Scottish and English solicitor, but for the majority of his professional life he has been located in Turkey. Having completed an MA (Law) at Istanbul University, in 1995 he set up and ran the Istanbul office of the O&G law firm Ledingham Chalmers. Following an MBO in 2004 he formed Senguler law office. Besides energy and project work, Jonathan advises foreign investors setting up in Turkey across a range of sectors.
