- Ali Malek KC is a leading barrister in England and Wales specialising in all aspects of commercial law. He has substantial experience in international arbitration both as counsel and as an arbitrator. Chairs the board of Portuguese Arbitration Association, was an officer of the IBA Arbitration Committee and co-editor of the IBA International Arbitration Guide (2017-2022) and is a member of the ICC Arbitration and ADR Committee. Chaired the board of the arbitration Center of Concórdia (Lisbon, Portugal) (2020-2022), having previously sat on the board of the Arbitration Centre of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

- Judge Mai Matar obtained her law degree from University of Bahrain (2006) and holds LLM in International dispute resolution from the university of London (2013). She is a Judge of the Supreme Court of Appeal with over 14 years of experience in the judiciary and is also an Arbitrator and a fellow member in the CIArb.
Ms. Matar has been a chairman of the construction court, hearing disputes concerning all constructions disputes in Bahrain. - Marcus is head of the Dispute Resolution Department, with extensive experience of complex national and cross-border litigation and arbitration in a number of areas of civil and commercial law, including shipping and aviation. He has acted as co-counsel and expert witness in cross-border matters in New York, London, Houston, The Bahamas and Canada.
Marcus taught law for seven years, has been part of the Roman Law Research Group of the Law School of the University of São Paulo (1995-2002) and of the Teaching Assistance Program of the same University (2000-2002), and was a visiting researcher at the “Istituto di Diritto Romano” of the School of Law of the University of Rome I – “La Sapienza” (2003).
