James Nicholson has consulted for over 25 years on matters of finance, strategy, and economics. Since 2005, his work has primarily involved acting as an expert witness on issues of the identification and valuation of lost profits, and the valuation of businesses, financial assets including shareholdings, and other assets, and of wasted costs.
On 65 occasions James has testified before or been appointed as a neutral by courts and commercial and investment treaty arbitration tribunals around the world.
From 2014 to 2021 James was President of the Standing Committee of the ICC’s International Centre for ADR.
