I was born on March 8, 1975 in Burgas, Bulgaria. I graduated from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski ”in 1998. I started to work at UNWE after winning a competition for a Civil law assistant in 2000 and consistently held the positions of Senior Assistant, Chief Assistant, Associate Professor and Full-time Professor.
I have been assigned and have prepared opinions on legal issues regarding contradictory case law practice before the Supreme Court of Cassation, as well as legal opinions on cases initiated before the Constitutional Court of Bulgaria.
I have been an Expert witness on Bulgarian law topics in three international arbitration cases governed by the Rules of SCC, PCA and the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Indusrty.

Mr. Neil Kaplan is an arbitrator with Arbitration Chambers in both England and Hong Kong. Mr. Kaplan was the Chairman of Hong Kong’s WTO Review Body on Bid Challenges from 2000 – 2004 and was formerly Chairman of Hong Kong’s Telecommunications (Competition Provision) Appeal Board. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and is a Chartered Arbitrator. He is also a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators as well as a panellist of CIETAC. In June 2001, he was awarded a CBE for services to international arbitration. In 2007, he was awarded the Silver Bauhinia Star by the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong SAR.
