Right to a Physical Hearing Project: Release of Updates to Reports

Co-editors Giacomo Rojas Elgueta, James Hosking and Yasmine Lahlou, in collaboration with ICCA, are pleased to announce the release of updates to the Finland and Sweden national reports on the Right to a Physical Hearing Project.

The updated Finland report gives an account of two decisions of the Supreme Court of Finland clarifying that in litigation judges cannot participate in a hearing remotely.

The updated Sweden report includes an Addendum presenting the “majority view” on whether a remote arbitration hearing complies with Swedish law, an issue pending before the Svea Court of Appeal and in which one of the national reporters is appearing as counsel.

You can find the updates to the Finland and Sweden national reports, as well as the survey findings of over 75 jurisdictions on this dedicated page of the ICCA website.
