ICCA Congresses

ICCA’s biennial Congress is the largest regular gathering of international dispute resolution specialists worldwide. Practitioners and academics from across the globe come together over a period of several days to present and discuss papers on different aspects of international dispute resolution. ICCA Congresses are known for stimulating development in the field of international arbitration, and cater to both newcomers and experts in the dispute resolution community.

The XXVIIth ICCA Congress will take place in Madrid from Sunday, 12 April to Wednesday, 15 April 2026, and will focus on the theme: International Arbitration: Local, Global or Both?”.

Bidding to Host the Congress

ICCA Congresses have historically highlighted their host countries as safe seats for arbitration and stimulated the practice of international arbitration at the host venue. The next two ICCA Congresses will be held in Madrid from 12-15 April 2026 and in San Francisco from 7-10 May 2028.
