Prof. Dr. Klaus Sachs

General Bio

Klaus Sachs is a senior partner in the Munich office of the German law firm CMS Hasche Sigle. Mr. Sachs has more than 25 years of experience as chairman, sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator and counsel in more than 200 national and international arbitrations concerning commercial and investment disputes. He is a member of the boards of the Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA) and the German Institute of Arbitration (DIS). He is a former Vice President of the ICC International Court of Arbitration and a former Vice President of the London Court of International Arbitration. Mr. Sachs is arbitrator candidate designated by the German Government to serve on the Panel of Arbitrators maintained by ICSID. Mr. Sachs is an honorary professor on international arbitration law at the Ludwig-Maximilian-University of Munich and is a co-editor of the German Arbitration Journal.
