Young ICCA Scholarships

Young ICCA has partnered with three universities to create Young ICCA Scholarship programmes. Each year, the three universities offer Young ICCA Members a chance to apply for these full-tuition scholarships. You can read about each scholarship, including past winners, below.


Miami Law / Young ICCA Annual Scholarship

The University of Miami School of Law and Young ICCA award one full-tuition scholarship ($48,000) to an outstanding Young ICCA member to attend the International Arbitration LL.M. Program.

The scholarship winner is chosen on the basis of an essay competition and an assessment of skills and academic achievements. To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must submit a written essay of no less than 2,000 words.

The winner of the 2018 Miami Law/Young ICCA Scholarship is Arundathi Venkataraman. Read her answers to the Young ICCA Proust Questionnaire here

Applications for admissions and scholarships will be considered on a rolling basis, with a priority deadline of 15 February 2019 for the next scholarship offer. However, interested students are encouraged to apply even after the priority deadline of February 19.

MIDS - Young ICCA Scholarship

The MIDS, together with Young ICCA, offers Young ICCA members the possibility of being awarded a scholarship to attend the Geneva LL.M. in International Dispute Settlement (MIDS) in the academic year 2018-2019. The scholarship covers full tuition fees (CHF 25'000).

Candidates must be Young ICCA members, submit their application for admission to the MIDS LL.M. programme through the online application platform, and include, together with all the other required documents, a MIDS - Young ICCA scholarship request stating why they deserve to be awarded the scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded based on the merits of the candidate.

The application deadline for the MIDS - Young ICCA scholarship is the same regular application deadline for the admission to the MIDS: January 2019. The 2019 scholarship holder will be announced in the spring of 2019.

Young ICCA Tsinghua Law School Scholarship

With the generous support of “Cheng Yu Tung-Tsinghua Law Development Fund”, Tsinghua Law School offers one Young ICCA member the possibility of receiving a scholarship to attend the Tsinghua LL.M program in International Arbitration& Dispute Settlement in the academic year 2017-2018. The scholarship covers full tuition fees (RMB146,000).

The scholarship will be awarded based on the overall merits of the applicant, in consultation with Young ICCA.  Attention will be paid to the need of assembling a diverse LL.M class.  

Young ICCA wishes to congratulate the 2018 scholarship winner, Anastasiia Zhemchugova. The winner of the 2019 scholarship will be announced in the spring of 2019.
