Young ICCA Skills Training Workshop on the Basics of International Arbitration

Young ICCA is pleased to invite you to attend a Skills Training Workshop in Kampala on 13 June 2019. The workshop will be hosted at the Victoria University, Victoria Towers, 1 -13 Jinja Road, Kampala.

The topic of the workshop is “Basics of international arbitration”.

The faculty of the Young ICCA Kampala workshop is composed as follows:

  • Mr Salim Moollan QC         – Essex Court Chambers, London
  • Justice J Tabaro                     – Former Chief Justice of Uganda
  • Mr Julius Nkafu                    – Great James Street, London
  • Ms Norah Kagwa                  – International Center of Arbitration in Kampala 
  • Mr Lucas de Ferrari              – White & Case, Paris
  • Ms Jacquline Lule                 – Bowmans, Kampala

Additional information: There are 60 spots available and 30 of them are reserved for Young ICCA members. Participants will generally be confirmed on a first come first served basis. Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, lunch and coffee breaks, as well as a cocktail reception, will be offered to the participants. Please indicate in your email whether you would like to attend the post-event cocktail reception.

Application and registration: To apply, please send a short email in English with the subject line “Young ICCA Workshop in Kampala” stating your interest along with your CV to, and indicate whether or not you are a member of Young ICCA.

All participants are expected to bear their costs of transportation to, from and within Kampala, as well as incidental expenses. They are further responsible for any necessary visa arrangements.
