Dr. Gerold Herrmann
President

Dr Herrmann has been President of ICCA since 2002. His term ends in 2010. Before the Presidency, he was Chairman of the Nominations/Elections Committee.

General bio 

Until his retirement in 2001 he worked for 26 years for UNCITRAL(United Nations Commission on International Trade Law), the last ten years thereof as its Director. His major achievement was the elaboration and promulgation of the UNCITRAL Model Law and the concomitant assistance in establishing or internationalising arbitration centres all over the world. Dr. Herrmann is Honorary Professor of Vienna University.

Awards 

INSOL International presented to him 2001  the Scroll of Honour and the International Insolvency Institute honoured him 2006 with the III Outstanding Contributions Award.
