General bio

Mr. Yves Derains is currently Partner of Derains & Associés, Chairman of the Comité Français de l’Arbitrage, Vice-Chairman of the ICC Institute of World Business Law and Co-Chairman of the ICC Working Group on the reduction of costs and time in international Arbitration. He has acted as counsel or arbitrator in more than 150 international proceedings throughout the world. He is the author of many publications in international arbitration.

Awards, Nominations and Special roles

Mr. Yves Derains is member of the French Committee on Private International Law. He was selected as the 2007 Arbitrator of the Year in France.
