General bio
Martin Hunter is a barrister practising in the field of international arbitration; professor of International Dispute Resolution at Nottingham Trent University; and visiting professor of law at King’s College London. He has served as counsel or arbitrator in cases held under the rules of most of the world’s principal arbitral institutions and arbitration centres.
He is chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai International Arbitration Centre, and was deputy-chairman of the UK Government’s committee on arbitration law reform.
He has participated in the work of the AAA, the IBA, the ICC’s Court, the LCIA’s Court and UNCITRAL.
