Souvenirs of the development of international commercial arbitration

This page is dedicated to sharing archival materials - treasures - that have been locked away in the archives of ICCA and its members until now. Currently in Historic Treasures you'll find documents donated by Professor Pieter Sanders (Honorary President of ICCA, who died on 27 September 2012) including his notes regarding the drafting of the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules, articles on the New York Convention 1958 and some of his personal mementos of these projects.

An interview with Professor Sanders, commissioned by the International Bar Association to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the New York Convention and entitled “Pieter Sanders at 95 - Reflections on the New York Convention,” is also featured.
