On 26 May 2010, the Young Arbitration Practitioners (YAP) held their eighth colloquium in Rio de Janeiro, on the topic of “Arbitration in Changing Times”. Lively discussions were conducted under the guidance of moderators V.V. Veeder and Guillermo Aguillar-Alvarez, focusing on the status and duties of arbitrators, and arbitration and sovereign entities

The YAP event also saw the launch of Young ICCA.

The first Young ICCA skills training workshop was held in Geneva on 19 May 2011, on the topic of "Memorial-writing in International Arbitration".
